Everyone has a story that should be heard. I'm here to collect.

Amy Hamley // Redraven Studios

This is the fifth interview in our "Behind the Scenes of Handmade Arcade" series, in which you learn more about the talented and prolific artists vending at Handmade Arcade 2014. This is your opportunity to dig deeper into the working habits of the folks that make beautiful handcrafted objects that you should purchase and gift to loved ones this holiday season!

Amy Hamley is the sole proprietor of Redraven Studios which features handmade keepsakes including jewelry and housewares. If you're shopped around Pittsburgh then you have seen her work in Pavement, a boutique in Lawrenceville, but as business has grown she has expanded into stores across the county. She mentions in this chat that December 20th is her order cut off date. So, if you're looking at her site and feeling the urge to acquire something beautiful for yourself or a loved one then I suggest you commit quickly!

In our chat we delve into how Redraven became Amy's full-time focus. Her's, like many other stories in the AP Collection, is a story of evolution and dedication that has brought about the dream of self-employment.

Amy was extremely generous with her time and shared a lot about herself, her practice, and what the future holds for Redraven. (Look out for a mention about Amy Garbark from Garbella at one point.) It was an extreme privilege to spend time with a woman of her talent!
