Adam is Good at Making People Feel Comfortable in His Bar
It’s daunting to have this question sprung on you and a recorder thrown in your face. Adam was working the closing shift at Dive on Butler Street and since it was a little dead he able to think about it while pour pretty mixed beverages for a couple guests.
I’ve known Adam since he worked a the Mad Mex in Oakland so when he finally and thoughtfully relayed his talent to me I had to agree wholeheartedly because I’ve seen him in action. Years after first meeting him and several restaurants later he remembered me, knew what I liked, and made me feel welcome. It’s nice that his is in my neighborhood now, a part of the vibrant fabric of the hospitality industry.
