Stephen Tuomala is a Pittsburgh based visual artist and member of the board of directors for Fe Gallery. His work is shown in many galleries and exhibition spaces around Pittsburgh including Remedy Restaurant on Butler Street. Stephen is also an all around nice dude who, as you will soon learn, has lived many lives before the age of thirty.
I responded most to Stephen's open-ended approach to his work. He is someone who enjoys the discussion, regardless of the conclusion. The show "A Permanent Gesture" delves into martyrs provoking the viewer to discussing the hows and why of death for a cause. I've included some images from the show here.
