Sometimes I approach people for chats and they are concerned that they won't have anything to say. Now, I pride myself on being able to talk to almost anyone about almost anything, but credit must be given to the interviewee who after a few minutes, forgets the mic is there and realizes that they do in fact have a lot to share. An hour goes by and most people are shocked that they talked that much in one sitting.
With Matt Dayak, we didn't even get to cover everything he's done! Carpentry, (he built a house with only one other person), photography (including his story to getting a solo show at Boxheart in Bloomfield), and An Agreeable Sound are just a few of the things we cover in this chat. If I had to name a major takeaway, it would be simple: Just go for it.
